Program for Support for Higher Education Studies Abroad

The National President of the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC), Mme FADIMATOU IYAWA OUSMANOU, informs the general public and particularly the youth that, within the framework of the Program for Support for Higher Education Studies Abroad, the Association "l’Etudiant Africain" in partnership with the CNYC, is organizing an information and orientation meeting on higher education studies and professional training abroad on October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the CNYC headquarters located in Bastos-Yaoundé (former CAMTEL building, next to the Russian Embassy).

This vast program, supported by Howard University based in Washington D.C., United States of America, takes into account (i) the lack of reliable information on academic opportunities, admission procedures, and funding sources, (ii) the lack of knowledge about institutions suited to diverse youth profiles, (iii) the administrative complexity of application files, visas, and scholarships, (iv) the isolation in the process: absence of personalized support and mentorship, and (v) the prohibitive costs of international orientation counseling services. Its objectives include, among others:

• explaining the steps of the application process to foreign universities;
• presenting international academic opportunities;
• Demystifying misconceptions about studying abroad (costs, accessibility, visa);
• explaining registration procedures, eligibility criteria, and the calendar;
• presenting institutional partnerships;
• identifying and recruiting 30 to 50 motivated candidates for the first cohort of the program;
• collecting contact details and profiles of interested participants;
• creating a community of students aspiring to academic mobility; 
•  presenting professional training opportunities with high foreign employment potential for the workforce.
