The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education has launched a Call for Applications to recruit diaspora volunteers for the National Integration Camp for Diaspora Youth (CINA-JEDI) 2026, taking place from 9 to 14 August 2026 in Yaoundé.

The idea behind CINA-JEDI is straightforward: bring young Cameroonians from abroad and at home into the same space to meet, exchange, and build something together. Over six days, participants will explore Cameroonian culture and history, engage with the challenges facing the country today, and leave with a stronger sense of who they are and what they can do. Making that happen requires people who know how to organise, who have networks, and who are willing to give their time.

That's where diaspora volunteers come in. If you're a Cameroonian professional currently living abroad or who has lived abroad with a background in event management and a genuine desire to contribute, this call is for you.

The commitment runs from 20 June to 20 August 2026: roughly six weeks of preparation followed by two weeks of implementation. Selected volunteers will sign a Volunteer Engagement Contract under Law No. 2021/015 of 9 July 2021.

Your application file must include:

  • A completed application form, downloadable at www.parijedi.org or www.onjcameroun.cm, or obtainable from the PARI-JEDI National Coordination Office in Yaoundé (Nlongkak neighbourhood) or any Regional/Divisional Delegation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education
  • A signed motivation letter
  • A detailed CV
  • A copy of your highest qualification, or any document substantiating your event management experience
  • Formal evidence supporting the information in your CV
  • Your preferred commission(s) from: Marketing & Finance; Reception, Accommodation & Logistics; Programming & Educational Content; Arts & Culture; Visits & Excursions; Health, Safety & Wellbeing; Communication & Engagement; Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Proof of current or previous stay abroad

Deadline: 15 May 2026. Submit electronically to parijedi@gmail.com by 11:59pm local time, or in hard copy (three sealed copies) to the PARI-JEDI National Coordination Office or any Regional/Divisional Delegation of MINJEC by 3:30pm. Applications from young women are strongly encouraged.

For further information, contact the PARI-JEDI National Coordination Office at +237 677 583 791 / 699 705 418, or reach out to the Department of Civic Education and National Integration (DECIN) at MINJEC headquarters.
